Gulf Breeze Recovery’s IOP provides greater flexibility and accessibility for people struggling with drugs and alcohol and working to overcome addiction and end chronic relapse. Conveniently located in Gulf Breeze, FL, our IOP sessions are offered to those who live within driving distance of our location, and then they return home following sessions.

Our unique holistic, non-12 step approach focuses on healing the whole person and not just the symptoms of addiction.  We help people get to the core, underlying causes of their addiction and help correct the issue at the source. Our one-on-one therapy sessions and small group activities focus on restoring the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health of our patients in the quest for wellness and happiness in recovery.

Intensive Outpatient treatment or IOP is a form of alcohol and drug substance abuse rehabilitation where patients are treated in sessions on a part-time basis at the facility while they remain living at home. IOP can be either the first step in alcohol and drug addiction recovery or the first step in after care. IOP enables people in recovery to continue their recovery on an intensive schedule that is designed to accommodate their work and family life.

The intensive outpatient (IOP) program uses the same non-12 step principled approach to overcoming addiction performed in the residential setting. Some of our IOP features include:

  • One-on-one therapy sessions
  • Family counseling
  • Educational course room and motivational speakers
  • Nutritional education and counseling

What should I expect from Gulf Breeze’s IOP Program?

The goals for our unique, non-12 step IOP include a customized treatment plan to meet the individualized needs of each person and help meet the needs of their daily life while building a foundation for resiliency and:

  • Achieving and maintaining abstinence from alcohol and drug use
  • Restoring behavioral, mental and physical health
  • Addressing problem solving skills
  • Building and developing a support system
  • Addressing core mental and physical health issues

It's very flexible, that's the beauty of it.

The beauty of our IOP is you can experience our life-changing program and still live your life. It's offered to the people who live in the area, or within driving distance from our Gulf Breeze, Florida location.

Most people think of outpatient treatment as a group setting, where people sit in a circle, and bare their soul. Our group settings help lay down the principles that get to the core, underlying cause of the alcohol or drug addiction, and helps correct the misunderstanding at the source. Discussions of personal issues are always reserved for the individual therapy sessions.

This intensive outpatient program is different.

With the classes and the one-on-one therapy, we help people get to the core, underlying cause of the addiction, or problem with alcohol, and help correct the misunderstanding at the source.

Our intensive outpatient program will help you or someone you love go through a real and lasting transformation to recovery and peace of mind.

If needed, our medical detoxification facility is available so you or your loved one can spend a few days recovering from any physical withdrawals in a safe, clean and friendly environment. When ready, you or your loved one can then go home and immediately begin the intensive outpatient program.

What’s the Difference Between the Intensive Outpatient and Residential Programs?

image of young woman for Gulf Breeze Recovery drug and alcohol rehab in FloridaThere are pros and cons to both residential rehabilitation treatment and IOPs and there are many things to consider when determining which will work best for you. Some things to consider:

IOPs provide people with a more flexible schedule for rehabilitation sessions and the ability to live at home while in treatment. Intensive outpatient also offers people a form of control over their lives. While participating in IOP, it is important to consider that temptations and triggers may be a concern while continuing to live at home.

Residential rehabilitation treatment services offer the benefit of 24-hour around the clock medical monitoring and care, with a completely structured drug and alcohol-free environment that does not include triggers that can be found at home. It is extremely effective in helping to remove temptations and distractions while giving people a true chance at a fresh start. Residential treatment does require more of a time commitment, and requires being away from home and work.

How is the GBR IOP different from others?

We refuse to treat just the symptoms of addiction.  Our unique holistic, non-12 step approach focuses on healing the whole person and helps people get to the core, underlying causes of their addiction while correcting the issue at the source. Our one-on-one therapy sessions and small group activities focus on restoring the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health of our patients in the quest for wellness and happiness in recovery.

What's most important is that more people are able to have increased access to a tried and proven program that's only been available in a residential environment.

Does GBR IOP Include Detox?

Detoxification, for many, is the first important stage of drug and alcohol abuse treatment. Our detoxification program takes place in a safe, clean and comfortable environment and is available for those who need it. Call: (855) 400-6190 for more information.

How long does IOP last?

The IOP program is very flexible and highly individualized, so people can sign up for as long as they wish. Call: (855) 400-6190 to customize a plan that's right for you.

Is IOP Covered by Insurance?

Gulf Breeze Recovery works with most major insurance carrier providers like Aetna, Humana, Magellan, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and others. Please Contact us to discuss your insurance coverage at 888-919-1621.

Does IOP include drug testing?

Yes, Gulf Breeze Recovery’s IOP does include random drug testing.

Our residential program is always an option right here at the same facility.

For those who might need a higher level of care than IOP, a person can immediately enroll into the residential program right here in the same facility. It's giving people more flexibility, that's what our guests, friends, and families have been asking for.

We want to give access to our program, because the program is unique, and because it works.
